Message from our Founder

​

The Guild has a rich history, founded in 1969 by a group of like minded individuals (myself included) who wanted to create a centre of musical excellence: making education accessible to all regardless of geographic location. Giving over 1000 public examinations a year, the Guild has a comprehensive set of syllabi throughout Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, and China.

From humble beginnings, in 1969 the Guild has grown in capacity, increasing its breadth of scope: with an ever widening international footprint. As well as the Melbourne Campus (Kooyong) the Guild also has locations in seven countries worldwide. Our tertiary and higher education courses are accredited by ASQA and TEQSA. Our Bachelor of Music degree offers Higher Education Fee Help. This is a Commonwealth student assistance loan that allows students to repay upon conclusion of their course.

Guild awards are presented at the Melbourne University Hawthorn Campus, at our Graduation Ceremony each year.
